MicroSar MS 6743 Mainboard

:p4N Northwood 3.2ghz P4C 130nm 1.475 - 1.575v (Sandra)
:Family F Model 2 Stepping 9 Ext Family Ext Model 0 Revision D1 (CPUz)

Hi,
I've just flashed my bios and everything seemed fine, but Sandra reports that the core voltage is higher than rated maximum: in the bios it is 1.5 but Sandra reports core voltage @ 1.550v

CPUz reports highest @ 1.540v

The options to adjust cpu voltage/frequencies adjustments are not displayed in the bios.

Should I be concerned ? (please excuse my ignorance).

Intel core voltage ratings are on: http://www.intel.com/support/processors/pentium4/sb/cs-008016.htm - but I can't identify which is my CPU.

I have also updated my intel Inf drivers, could this be at fault ?

Also. do Sandra / CPUz retrieve their data from the bios or from the components ?

Thanks, bOO2

Your voltage is fine. I believe they both get it from the chip on your mobo, but not positive. I use Mother Board Monitor 5, or the builtin Asus program

Hello:

moved this thread to "motherboard" section as it will receive more response here than in Win XP / as your question is not really OS related
