Hello,
I'm building my first computer ever, and I want it to be for gaming. I have picked out a CPU, and graphic's cards, but I don't know how to find out what kinds of mother boards I can buy, and also if there might be any other incompatibilities.

The Processor that I picked out is an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650
3.0 GHz x4 1333 FSB 12MB cache
and the graphics cards are a set of ATI Radeon HD 4890
Top/GB 900MHz 1GB 4.0 GHz GDDR PCI-E 2xDVI HDTV video card

I don't know if this is even the information that's needed, but this is what I found when I was looking. Thank you in advance to anyone that has any input for my problem. If needed to help, I have also picked out a bunch of other parts, some needed, some not. If you want to get a list of the parts that i've picked email me, or send me a reply on here.

Dual Core is a better option for gaming. Asus & Gigabyte are the best Mobo's. Have you selected a PSU?
Post a list of the "bunch of other parts" and we can evaluate them.

Thermaltake CL-w0075 bigwater
8GB Corsair dominator 4x2048MB dual-channel 1066 MHz PC-8500 CAS5 DDR2
Dual ATI Radeon HD4890 top/GB 900MHz 1GB 4.0GHz GDDR PCI-E
Corsair Storage Solutions 128GB 2.5IN SATA2 SSD flash drive
Western Digital Caviar black 1000GB 32MB 7200RPM SATA2 Dual Processor
LG22x/22x DVD+/-RW DVD SATA writer

Bigfoot Networks Killer NIC M1 Card for gamers
Silverstone Decathlon DA85 850W modular active PFC
Antec 1200 Case
NZXT Sentry LX high performance aluminum fan controller black w/LCD Dual 5.25

Sorry if some of these seem like I added to much detail, as I mentioned before I don't know much about building computers, so I don't know which information you'd need to help me out, so I listed all the info I had. Thank you

I'm not a fan of liquid cooling. Liquid and electricity don't play well together and cooling can be done very well on air.
4GB of RAM is more than sufficient for many games or apps.
Two GPU's give small increase in performance for a big increase in price. From what I understand, the 5770 is a great gaming card.
SSD's are WAY overpriced for now
Good choice on the WD Black Hdd-ANTEC 1200 CASE-
Personally, I would use a Seasonic or Corsair PSU.

My apologies for not explaining better. I get used to using abbreviations.
