if it is an exact replacement you should be able to pop it in with no problems

Hello;
I sure this has been asked before, but I can not seem to find an answer.
My AUSU MD is defective I am in the process of RMA with ASUS. When I receive the new (Replacement Board) Can I just reconnect the components or do I need to Reinstall XP.
If so Will it affect my Validation from Microsoft.
