i am using nvidia geforce 7100 gs and my ram is 512mb .my monitor is 17inches samsung(syncmaster 798MB plus).my monitor goes blank for few seconds and returns back to normal screen.this happens often.while watching a movie it gets stucked for few seconds and then plays normally.i am using bitdefender 2008 total security.i scanned my system but one virus namely backdoor.poisonivy.a is detected but it says it cannot be deleted because it is an part of archive.please help me to get out of this problem

Are you using Samsung drivers for your Syncmaster, or the Windows defaults? Their Tech Support Download page has a search by model number.

My old Samsung Syncmaster had a CD with the correct WinXP drivers. Device Manager, Monitors, actually listed Samsung Syncmaster (not PNP monitor). I've switched to a LCD flatscreen since then.

WARNING - Every time I update my GeForce 7300 nVidia drivers I have to reinstall my LCD Flatscreen drivers. You MAY have the same problem.
