Hi everyone,
I've a Korean Computer, brand new, running Windows 98' in it. It is a "Safer" Computer (that's the name of it), and it has a 13 flat panel monitor. Well, my problem is when I turn on the computer and then the monitor the monitor remains black with nothing coming up. I've made sure all the connections are correct as I've used it before. However, I get this blinking light after I turn the monitor on and can't go past that to normally load or get even into my Bios? Could the monitor be on standby? And if so, how do I get it out of standby? Moreso, how can at least get to the point of seeing something on the monitor? Please let me know. Again, video card and all connections are working fine, but now I just don't have a thing on the monitor with a blinking green light. In addition, I have tried three different monitors, two brand new video cards, and with this new computer and everything appropriately plugged in, I still get no video display even to get into the Bios. All three different compatible monitors work fine on all of my other machines, but not the one previously mentioned above. The monitors just seem to stay "black" and nothing, no text or anything appears accept either a blinking light or the monitors (all three) go into this standby mode perhaps. I just want to SEE TEXT OR SOMETHING ON THE SCREEN!! eek! Someone help. All connections are new and everything works, save for the fact of being able to see something on the screen. The issue is that it is not my computer. I am a consultant and can usually overcome these types of issues. It is a computer of another client in this particular, and I was told that a new power supply was put into it the other day from "COMPUSA" for some compatibility issue for the computer being here in America. Could this be the problem? I looked closely at the powersupply and it seems fine. Another thing is that one usually here's a "Beep" upon start up. These computers are very similar to Dell's and Gateway's...Can't figure this one. Just dying for a display...
Thanks for any future thoughts here...
