if you are using a crt monitor,it is not unusual as they they take longer to warm up and cut in
not like the instant on of the digtal monitors

Mine is an LCD. The only thing that works for me is to leave it on and wait... and wait... and wait. It generally comes back on magically within a day or two. Sucks! Fortunately we have another PC, otherwise I'd buck up for a new monitor pronto.

it usually mere economical to repurchase
i had one the went under warranty,waiting for a replacement they had it nearly twice as long as i had it before it came back
