Hello everyone.

I'm brand new here and would like to first say hi and thanks for any help you can give me in advance.

I bought this laptop and its worked amazing, sometimes the screen would be perfectly fine other times it would be a bit blurry kinda.
Computer Laptop Personal computer Computer keyboard Netbook

I was using it perfectly fine with no issue when today im greeted with this, it seems my display will not load up fully or something, anyone see anything like this who may have some advice on how to go about sorting it, I tried an external display with hdmi but nothing comes on the external display even when I try fn +f5.

Any guidance is much appreciated!!

Thanks.

Well it looks the the gpu is soldered to motherboard so probably need new motherboard If that’s the problem. when is the last time it been cleaned out from dust?
Hi thanks for youre reply, apologies for my delay.

I've not taken any computer apart since a Windows 98 pc when I was a lot lot younger, and that was just slide side off and clean but this laptop hasn't been dedusted in all the time I have had it, when I'm doing the vacuuming I often give it a once over but I dunno if that's enough?

Do I need any special equipment to clear it out?

Thanks again.

If the screen works long enough to get into Windows, with an External Monitor attached via HDMI, Right click a blank space on the desktop and choose Display Properties. Does Windows recognize a second monitor? If the screen is still pixilated, Start the Laptop and boot into Setup (Bios) if the screen is still acting up, then it is most likely your Video Chip on the motherboard and the motherboard would need to be replaced,
