My Vaio Z51 has a built-in mobile WWAN (Qualcomm HS-USB), and it works with OneClick Internet.

I'd like to connect without using 3rd party software, and just use Windows 7's built-in WWAN connection manager.

I tried to follow this guide: Tips and solutions
But for some reason, the "Mobile Broadband Connection" does not show up in my Connect to a Network menu (from the tray icon), and I can't get to the "Enter PIN" step.

How can I either get it to show up, or to get Win7 to connect to WWAN directly?

TIA

No, it's actually a built-in device, not a USB. I have no idea why it's named that way.

And again, let me clarify that the WWAN already works with OneClick Internet, just not with Win7's native manager.

Try this

1. Click Windows Key or Start Logo
2. type services.msc and hit enter
3. Locate and Open(Double Click) then start (WLAN Auto Config service) set to automatic click OK.

You may need to uninstall your one click software. The OneClick program when installed may have disabled the Windows WLAN Auto Config service.

You may need to uninstall OneClick first.

Thanks for the tip, unfortunately it did not work.

Firstly, the WLAN Auto Config service was already started and on automatic. I went ahead and uninstalled OneClick anyway, but this didn't bring Win7's native manager back, either.

Anything else I could try?
