Midwest Micro Elite TS30A Hard Drive

I recently came into posession of an old (mid-late 90's) Midwest Micro Elite TS30A laptop (it's Midwest Micro's label on a Compal TS30A. The same laptops had been sold under many other brands including ARM, Targa, Epson, InfoTel, Magitronic, Quantex, Ultra, Sceptre, etc)

The laptop is a mono display, 486/66 processor, 4mb ram... But the hard drive is missing. There's a space and connector for a drive umder a panel on the bottom (looks like a 2.5" notebook drive would fit). I've tried plugging in a few 2.5" drives I had laying around (a 2gb, and a 540mb), set the bios accordingly, but fdisk didn't recognize them.

I've Googled and Waybacked for any technical info about the machine, especially the hard drive, to no avail.

I'm wondering if anyone has any info on this oldie and could possibly point me in the right direction on drive specs.

I know this is an old posting, but I have just joined today (14 May 2011). I have a Midwest Micro Elite TS30A in front of me. I can see the hard drive but cannot figure out how to remove it. Would a picture be of any use?

Regards

Victor
