Hi Guys

some time since I have been on working away blah yawn lol.

I have recently had some problems with microsoft help and when I try to contact the site another company called microsoft.com keeps asking me for money to fix the problem. I am thinking if this is not the real microsoft, can anyone advise.

Is your operating system geniune? don't mean to sound patronizing or whatever but if that was the case i bet some seriously weird stuff can happen. not 100% sure tho sorry.

Are you able to check the IP address of the site? Don't know if this will be of any help but Sunbelt has come out recently with a list of fake MS sites.

click start/run then type cmd.
when in the command prompt type in ping then the name of the site you want and it will tell you the ip address just incase you didnt know how:grin:
