microsoft multimedia keyboard 1.OA

I have just purchased the above.

At the top of the keyboard,on the right hand side there is a light under the name 1. Before it is A and afterwards F

Please advise what this light signifies.

Indeed there are lots of buttons that I dont understand. Is there a website with explains all the buttons.

Also, did that keyboard come with a manual? If so, you can check there too. Hope everything works out for you.
