Well my mic stopped working suddenly.
On other pc's it works.
Somehow my microphone sends sound I receive, like if I talk to someone via steam and skype at the same time, they hear eachother but not me.

Thanks in advance

Greetings sickclimax, :welcome: to TSF.

Firstly, please give us details about your computer; is it a Desktop, or a Laptop?
If your computer is a Desktop, is it Custom Built, or a manufacturer's build?

Either way we need the make and model to be able to assist you further.
Please post back with this information.

Kind Regards,

It is a custom build desktop.
I have an amd high definition sound device it says.
Hello again sickclimax,

Unfortunately you have not given us enough information about your computer for us to adequately assist you.
With this in mind, please download a free program called "Speccy".

The Speccy Download site is here.

Once downloaded; please click, File > Publish Snapshot; then, post the 'Speccy' screenshot in your next Post.

Kind Regards,

Hi Mel,

Please go into the Device Manager > View > Show Hidden devices > tell us if there are any Yellow Exclamation (!) Marks or Red Crosses next to anything in the list, especially in the Sound, Video Game Controllers section.

If there are, post back (with a screenshot if possible) with what they are. If there are no adverse marks, well and good.

To get into the Device Manager > Right click the desktop icon Computer > Properties > in the left panel click Device Manager.

From the 'Speccy' list it looks as though you are using the on-board sound and no third party soundcard; is this correct?

Which Sound Drivers did you install with this machine, were they the ones from the motherboard CD/DVD, or did you download them from another source?

Have you checked the sound connection sockets to the motherboard to make sure that they are intact and not loose?

Post back with this information.

Kind Regards,

Hi Mel,

This might sound stupid, but have you mistakenly switched the sockets where you plug in the microphone?
Is this microphone part of a Headset; if so, swap over the plugs and see what happens; because I am starting to run out of ideas, so I will go and do some more research with some collegues.
Post back with the results.

This is not the problem, other microphones do work so it isnt the input-thing.
Thanks in Advance

Odd.

Just to sum up what we have here...

Your Microphone will work with other computers no problem but not with the main one. Other Microphones though will works fine using the same port on the main computer?

Is there a CD that may have came with the microphone with drivers on it?
