hi, i am having problems with my mic. it is a cyber acoustics mic from wal-mart the one with the pc stand. i hooked it up to my computer, but iam not sure if i have to install something or not. now i can not hook it directly to my speakers because i have it going through my home entertainment theater system. could that be part of the problem. please help asap thanks.

If it has a jack like what is on headphones and speakers you will not to install anything as long as you have the programs on your compute you want to use it with. With this just plug it stright into the computer near where you would have plugged speakers in.

If it is through USB then it may need to have a driver installed.

ok thanx,but i plugged it in through the thing that has the mic on it so i guess i need to install the driver. by any chance do you and can u tell me how to do that. thanks

Well it would be the same driver that you use for sound. Just the audio driver. Which if installed and it did not work, then i would suggest going to any settings you find for the mic and setting them.
If it is not installed then you need to find the driver for it and download it. For us to help you more with that we would need to know more about the computer. Either the make and model of it if it was never changed or if it was built or modified, then we need to know the motherboard if on board sound the sound card that is used.
