mic doesnt work :( please help

ok so i built a new computer using the old ram, disc drive, and hdd from my comp. only 512 ram total a pretty big hdd, and a dvd burner/cd-rom drive. i got a new case an asus a8n sli premium mobo with a GF6800GT nvidea pci express card and an amd 64 4200 athlon x2 processor. i mainely use teamspeak, wow, and some other games but i have a problem. wutever i do i cant input audio via microphone. i have tried changing sensitivity and wutnot and have run out of ideas. not sure if i need some driver update or anything but if you have any idea or know wuts wrong please help me out. any help is appreciated. thanks in advance.

hehehe more ram

although this has no effect on the topic itself i plan on upgrading the ram to at least 1 gig if not 2 :) lol but it really makes no diff to the issue at hand.

also for all that i use a 400w psu should i upgrade to something higher?
