i was using audacity to record sounds and then changing it into higher pitch, for fun. i did it quite a few times. then afterwards when i closed audacity, there is no sound. my songs are playing and everythings working fine but there's no sound. do i need to change my sound card ? Help me . . . . .

You say the songs are playing... is that in a media player or a sound editor?
Check the volume controls.
