I have a Gigabye GA-SINXP1394. It was installed and worked perfectly. I then installed some new memory. However the computer would not boot and within about 15 secs I smelled a burning smell. I imediately unplugged the computer. One of the modules was quite warm. I then pulled the memory and found two burn marks on one of the memory modules and also on the socket. I then re-installed the previous memory but now it seems like the MB is dead. I'm pretty sure I have a dead MB but is there any chance that the CPU could have been damaged?
