Please help. I've posted about a month ago and noone replied to my thread.
Im getting constant BSODS
these 3 seems to be the most popular
Memory management
pagefault in nonpaged area
and another one about watchdog violation

i just got a "Kernel security check failure" also a couple of minutes ago

I just uninstalled Avast Antivirus ( as i've read Norton might intefere with certain .. things, so i didn't take any chance and deleted avast )

To make it short, I recently assembled my computer, here are the specs:

Had windows 7 ultimate x64
Recently updated to windows 8 pro x64 ( clean install, not upgrade ). Purchased from microsoft online and had many MANY problems trying to install as i kept getting BSODS. Finally ended up installing correctly after 10-11 tries, always formatting before re-trying.

All hardware is new. just assembled the computer in january.
MOBO : Asus p8z77-V PRO
CPU : Intel i-5 3570k
RAM : 2x4gb cl8 12800 Gskill Ripjaw
SSD : Samsung 840 250gb (OS : Windows 7 ultimate x64 )
HDD : WD Caviar Black 1tb
Heatsink : Noctua NH-D14
PSU : Antec HCP 850 gold
GPU : MSI Radeon 6950 Twin FROZR

I'm not sure if i need to adjust certain settings in BIOS for voltage of ram, or whatever, i'm not very informed on overclocking even though my goal was to do so. I clearly cant think of overclocking right now since my system is FAR from being stable as is.

anyways, please, help me. noone answered my last post and alot has changed since so i'm trying for a second time now.

Sorry guys, i've been away and my girlfriend's been using the computer and confirms the crashes have significantly lowered in frequency, but are still very present every now and then.

I uninstalled using the uninstaller provided with avast. I will try to run the avast clearer that you provided the link with.

I havent had the chance to do a memtest but i will put this on my priority list during the weekend or even during the night today..

Well well, i did a Memtest overnight... ended up with over 3 million errors

i'll join a pic i took..
guess the next step is to reseat the memory, but i already did that a couple of times during my whole troubleshooting so would'nt the problem be fixed if it was for that ?

Well... I tried doing a test yesterday night with only one of the ram sticks in. Worked perfectly, it had no errors whatsoever.

I will try again with the other one very soon, to see if the second one is the faulty one.

Should i try the same test with the first ( the one i tested yesterday ) RAM stick in the SECOND one's slot also, to see if it might be the slot and not the stick?

Ok well, i tried taking out the RAM stick #1 out , but i have a Noctua NHD14 as the cooler... Meaning it goes OVER the ram sticks. I'm able to take out one of the fans on the cooler, to get a memory stick out (#2 ), but the part on top of the memory stick is NOT removable, unless i remove completely the CPU cooler and reapply the paste and stuff ( which i REALLY dont feel like doing )

I tried putting ram stick #2 ( seems to be the faulty one ) in all 3 remaining slots. Same thing happens everytime on memtest. bunch of errors spit out in half a second.

With 1 ram, everything seems to be running fine. I've been running with RAM #1 only for a couple of days and havent had a crash yet...

I guess i'm gonna try to buy another RAM stick and try it with that one... Hoping its only a faulty ram and not a problem wit hthe motherboard.

Thanks for all your suppot, ill keep you update
