I'm having a few problems with memory usage and I'm having doubts about the legitmacy of some of the processes found in Task Manager. I'll list them below;
- 11 instances of 'svchost.exe' using memory ranging from 22,000k to 3,000k.
- 1 instance of 'System' using 65,000k. This process is not joined by a suffix.
- 2 instance of 'IEXPLORER.EXE'. This one grabbed my attention as the name is all in capitals (contrary to standard MS practice). It's using 45,000k, and interestingly, up to 50% CPU. Very strange for a FireFox user.
If anyone can shed some light on these, I'd be grateful. I'm capable of formatting my PC, as it's a home computer, but I'd rather not. I'm running a Virus Scan at the moment.
