Hi all,

I was used to watch megavideo on firefox without any problem.
But now when I tried to watch megavideo it says ..installl adobe latest flash player.
the problem is as below.
1)First I have installed new flash player
2)after installation, adobe confirmation window opens,
if I changed address i can watch megavideo.
3)once i closed the window, and open new window, again they asked to install new flash player
4) if restart also, same message display for megavideo.
5) i have installed around 20 times flash player and restarted my laptop, but no use.
6) i have also upgraded my firefox from 3.6 to 9.0.1, but no use.

I am using window vista for my sony vaio laptop (2gb).

pl. suggest.

thanks

If the problem persists you need to uninstall flash and then reinstall it.

Visit:
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
For complete instructions to uninstall.

Ensure that you restart your system and then visit:

http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/

Which is adobe's test site where you will be prompted to install the latest version of flash. After the install, the test page should load displayed the revolving flash icon. Restart your machine and load Firefox again to see if it works.

Good luck, I will continue to monitor this thread.

Of course :) if the uninstall / reinstall doesn't work for you I have a few more tricks and you may have to manually delete older versions of flash as well as stop Firefox from trying to load them. I will advise on how to do so if the need arises.

what about other movie websites? what video players do you have install? see if you have a firefox plugin for the specific player you use installed.

Sorry about the delay I'm at work now. I can walk you through uninstalling all previous versions of flash as well as other plugins that conflict with flash. Could you send me a link with the video you are trying to watch. I will send instructions shortly.

To ensure that I know the problem,

You updated Firefox to the most up to date version.

You uninstalled flash and reinstalled it as I specified.

When you go to Mega video to watch a video, the video does not load and you are prompted to reinstall adobe flash. On the browser where the video should be, does it say missing plugin or does a new window pop up.

Are you able to watch the video in internet explorer? You may have to activate the activex. A bar on the top of the browser should indicate if this is required or not.

I have already VLC player installed may be older one............
How to watch megavideo and other (daily motion etc) in vlc..via web browser????????????
you dont have to do a thing if it both vlc and the plugin is installed. That is why in my first post in this thread I specifically asked you what media player you had installed and if you had the media players plugin installed. check your firefox plugins and see what is installed. you should have a flash, vlc, quicktime and others installed (depending whats actually installed on your computer)

the problem is not what I thought it was. you seemed to have the proper plugins and as I said before, you would not have to do anything if it was working properly.

try disabling your security software and see if one of them is blocking your access. also is your java up to date? if not, update it.
