This is driving me crazy!!! :4-dontkno

I am trying to install Windows Media Player 11 on a windows XP media player edition computer. I have gone to Microsoft and installed all the updates Rollup 2 , service pack 3, etc.

Wnen I try to install media player I get a "system not supported" error.

anyone have any ideas?

normally I wouldn't care for the upgrade but the sony Video Walkman that I have requires it to download video.

does it...you shouldnt need to.
if so it should be on the CD that comes with it, as you may not have the internet and they sell you that..gah

It was on the disk with the player. I tried to install that copy first. When it would not install I went to microsoft support and tried online. I got the same error message with each.
