you can use autogordian knot to convert them to avi clips to store on your HD.
oh thank you, but one more question, are they already AVI when made by media center ?

johnboy
i don't know, but if you cannot see the file extension, then open the folder options in the control panel and click the 'view' tab. then de-check the box for 'hide file extensions for known file types'. that way you'll see if the file is an AVI or MPG or whatever.
ok they are AVI file, how do I download into my computer ?

johnboy
If the files are already AVI and not DVD VOBs, just open Windows Explorer and drag and drop the files onto the C: drive.
ok I will try, this is tricky stuff.

thank you

ok I tried the drag thing , didnt work when I tried to drag the f drive it showed a (0) with a line through it. would not latch on. I right clicked on F drive properties says file sys. UDF. does that mean anything ?
