I have a Maxtor One Touch 4 that stopped working. After taking it apart i saw that a few pieces were burned up on the 'motherboard'. I want to know if you can tell me what they are and if its just a soldering job to get done. This hard drive holds all my pictures and videos from my most recent deployment. Thanks for any help.

You can see the damage in the top and bottom left.

The housing circuitry is generally very poor in external Hdd's. You can get another external housing or a docking station if you want to continue using it externally.
To retrieve data from the drive, slave it into PC.
