Hey here is a open question to anyone willing to bite...The Tech is in... are you listening...

I have a program that is running off Novell...with windows 98 there is a way to map the root ...(I.E. Knowlegebase artical q89233)...when you right clicked a drive to mapp it from Novell Server you could get a Map as root...and the program would work..

In XP you get NO such option...even when connecting to the same Novell server...

any ideas wether there is a DOS command or a bat or pif file that we can run to get the root mapping???

Thanks

try MAP ROOT <drive Letter>: = <server name>\SYS:\\

Also make sure you have the permissions set up correctly on the XP machine.

Also what version of Novell do you have running?

You might want to try the mapdrive program Iv attached its worked before, iv don't really run Novell and XP together so I'm not real fresh on how to do it.
