lately I have been messing around with different linux distros to see which one would work the best with all of my devices. So far the one I have been using the last few years is the best - xandros.

Now I am down to mandriva. After a little googling I found all of my devices will work with it - kind of surprised me since a couple of them will not work with xandros.

I noticed there is a free version and the paid version. The paid version has a couple of propriety drivers I need - the biggie is the graphics card.

Question 1 - would I still be able to install those drivers in the free version? I realized if I were able to, I dont think I can use mandriva's repository or could I?.

Question 2 - if I decided to purchased the subscription or the box set to get access to the repository, is there a reseller here in the states? I did a little googling about this and it seems the only place I can find is in Europe.

Question 3 - well there was one but I just went blank...

Right now I am just glad my isp does not have limits yet. Three different distros of linux with one being a dvd version download tonight.

thanks

it would be the visiontech x1300 512mb - nothing fancy but I like dual monitors with extended screens.
