Mandrake Begs For Cash, Literally
In a desperate bid for operating capital, Linux developer MandrakeSoft has set up a web page where the company has begun begging for additional funds.
The page urges customers and fans of the software to invest in warrants to buy the company's stock, up to a total of $4 million, of which $2 million is needed very soon. The company said it originally expecte that amount in outside funding, but that an investor delayed the payment for unknown reasons.
