I am running a Windows 2000 Pro client, connected to an NT server. There are a number of shared drives on the server including one set aside as a guest area. I use a directory on this guest area to store data for a program that is accessed by many users and is shared across the network.

My question is, how do I find out the user that last changed the directory name? Or is this even possible? I can find out the owner of the directory (me) but I need to know who last updated it.

Any help would be greatly appeciated!

I believe you'd need to enable auditing. Of course, one has to ask why you've given users the rights to change the name in the first place.
