Beginner javascript/iframe/security type question.

Why is it certain browsers give me an alert when I am going to a web site with malicious content, and others don't?

For example, if I go to http://culinaryprep.com Safari 3 on Mac OS X, I get a web page that says there maybe malware on the page and do I really want to continue.

Yet, if I visit that same site in Firefox I don't get that warning. Is there an add-on to Firefox I should install to protect myself from malicious websites?
