win xp had a reliable method to change the backgrounds of folders with a custom wallpaper background, by editing the desktop.ini file.
Is there a similar method for win 10? I could not find much info on this, besides a couple of 3rd party tools that seem unreliable from the reviews. I do NOT want to change the background colour, I want to add a custom wallpaper.

sadly, its close but works not as well as in xp. this tool only allows you to change folder categories (like type: general), instead of targeting specific folders only.
the other tool I tried is AveFolderBg. I tried it a lot already, but it only seems to work for like 10 minutes it seems. then the custom background just disappears.
