When I boot my computer up and open office right away, everything is pretty much normal. The strange thing is, when my computer is on longer, office programs slow down to an unbelievable extent. Using Excel or Word, any kind of function I try to perform takes forever (things like formatting text, even opening and saving files within Word or Excel) Sometimes it will take like a minute to open up the format text window.. this is driving me crazy. CPU utilization goes up to like 50-100% during these times. I've scanned my computer with antivirus software, malware/adware software, found nothing. I have absolutely no idea what the heck is going on.. anyone got any ideas? :sigh:

I can't seem to find an edit button. Forgot to mention that I'm running Office XP SP3, 2.6GHz dual core processor with 2GB RAM.

I've tried (actually yesterday) and it says it's completed repairing but there's no difference.. still get the same sluggishness.
