LP Laptop graphics display problem
I have an old LP E500 laptop still running on XP which has served me for years and is basically still good to check my email. Recently it has been giving me problems and the display shows 6+ of the screen like this (see the attachment).
Occasionally the laptop will boot normally and I can work but now it won't do that at all. If I boot normally, XP tries to start but soon shuts down completely. The next boot allows me to start in Safe Mode and this is what the picture shows.
I guess it is time to replace this old laptop so all I want to know is whether the cause of this problems is the OS, driver, hardwear or what.
