Lower right hand "Quick Launch" Menu and "Green Box" of CPU usage

re:

Lower right hand "Quick Launch" Menu ( on da desktop) and
"Green Box" of CPU usage in it.

Many times while surfing on da net and opening some web sites, all of a sudden, I see,
a green square BOX in the lower right corner of the screen showing CPU usage and
filling the box with green color in it,...
and it clogs and blocks the whole activities
and can not even get out of it, or can close any of the application.

What is that? Why it does that?

It means low memory? Low space? or What?

What should be done to avoid it? What should we do when it comes?

All advices needed, please.

Thanks.

IMHO, this is a daily problem for most of the people.
while surfing , or doing some hevay usage work,
smthg smthg runs out

( memory / worakble memory / RAM / HD space ..etc ? ) and computer blocks itslef in some deep on-going activity ,
it clogs and blocks all application ( stuck)
doing some strange deep preocesses inside itself
and

all you see is green square box in yr lower right of desktop and while pressing
"ctrl,alt del "
it shows how much CPU usage has been consumed
and it will not even let you close any application
and you can not even end any programs
( it won't even let you shut yr computer officially )

and all you do is,...

shutdown the computer in an abnormal way ( shutting of da power )
and start booting it all over. This thing happens to me at work and home computer almost every day.

N.B. Both computers are latest and greatest from DELL with top level of MAX memory installed
and 200+ Gigs of HD sapce..... ,,etc , with most of the advanced features and soft/hardwares available in da market.

The little square green box that you see on the right bottom of your screen simply tells you that your Task Manager is running. This is not peculiar, since you've actually called it by pressing Alt-Ctrl-Del.

As far as da hang-up is concerned, it could be the common (and alerting) sign of malware working in the backgound. If you experience this at a frequent rate, then you should follow the instructions in the "HijackThis Log" part of TechSupportForum.

Thx 4 yr responses.

However, this issue is for my home and office computer both. And also heard from some other PPL too.

Both are latest and greatest computers from dell
with max possible RAM and HD spaces and
I use
NA Anti Vi.,
Adaware and Spybot,
MS anti spyware - installed

and I run every 2-3 days as I do much web surfing.

I am amazed
that I am the only one complaining and experience this problem here
and many ppl even don't know,
I was wishing 8 out of 10 must be experiencing da same problem too.
( Probelm is so well-known and common and almost many Dell service Tech asks this as a first question)

Thx all.
