Hello.
I am using an Asus VX279H-W monitor, connected to the PC via HDMI cable. The video card is Radeon RX580 if that helps. I am experiencing an annoying problem. If I set the monitor to its native resolution (1920x1080), both text and other elements are low quality. I tried to tweak settings in the monitor's built in menu and in AMD's 'Adrenalin Edition' software. The results ended up being slightly better but still low quality. The only solution I found to get at least decent quality on this screen is to trick it into using larger resolutions - right now it's at 3840x2160, 200% scaling. I know this is not ideal, but I have no idea how to get good quality at native resolution. Am I doing something wrong? Are there specific settings that I should make?

The driver seems fine - I can't find any updated driver through Windows Update or through the ASUS website - it seems like they don't really offer support for this model anymore.

Any ideas are appreciated.
Thank you.

Hello.
Can anyone provide some input? Maybe you're thinking that I have no idea how to set up the monitor. Maybe you're right. But this is a tech support forum, so there should be an answer even for a noob like me, right? I should provide more information for this issue. The computer used to be connected to another monitor, a lower size Benq. What's weird is that Windows retained the color profile which was used for the Benq monitor and I can't change it. I tried and it set it right back. I thought it could be a driver issue, but Windows says I have the latest driver and ASUS doesn't release any more drivers for this specific monitor.
I just can't shake the feeling that I'm doing something wrong and I am not using this monitor at its full potential. Should I reinstall Windows while connected to the monitor? Maybe it will set up properly if I do this.
Looking forward to any replies. Thanks.

Open Device Manager and then go to Monitors and uninstall the device. After you re-boot the computer, Windows should detect and install the driver appropriate to the currently-connected monitor.
