First off, unless you have a very good reason not to, let the system manage the paging file. While Microsoft doesn't always get it right, they know more about the internals of the O/S than either of us. :rolleyes:

You might want to try defragging your pagefile and registry. PageDefrag is a free tool to do just that, you can't do it with the normal system defrag. While you're over there, you might check out some of their other free utilities, some useful stuff. :)

Finally, depending on how bit your system partition is, you may need to allocate more space for it. Even though it appears you have plenty of space, W2K/XP likes to have 20-30% of the system partition free, especially when defragging.
