I have recently been experiencing a problem in any video game or graphically intense program; in which they all run slowly, the higher the requirements the slower the game. Even games that have requirements far below my specs. Everything else appears to be working fine other than that. I had not log ago installed a Nvidia 9600 GT card that had been running well but I have suspected of being the cause, I also installed a 400 Watt power supply. I have so far updated my drivers ,rolled back my drivers, updated the bios, used windows recovery, physically cleaned my case and the video card, checked for viruses and spyware, and done a few other things. Nothing has seemed to make a difference. The card may have been damaged by heat originally before I put a new case fan in although I'm not sure if that is causing the problem. Before this I had a randomly occurring flashing of my screen and random colors appearing that lased until now. Here is my specs and dxdiag, thank you in advance for any assistance.

Try running a benchmarking software like 3DMark (or similar) and see if it's results are appropriate for your hardware.

Check Event Viewer. Any chronic errors ?

Device Manager, any flags ?

No problems in the device manager, do have a few consistent errors, such as cdrom error that has a driver controller error, several servicing errors; quite a few actually, not sure which ones may be particularly important. I'm in the process of getting 3DMark but I'm fairly sure it will show that its running underpowered.

3DMarkVantage ran at 0-1 fps for awhile and then I stopped the test not too long after it started.

Try reinstalling the video card driver software.

Post some of the errors, particularly the driver controller error.

It seems to me that you might have too small of a power supply for your video card. I understand that they say a minimum of 400 Watts for the 9600GT... But that 400 watts is being shared between all of your devices. Motherboard, processor, hard drive, optical drives etc. So by the time that 400 watts gets to your video card its not as much as it would have been. I'd suggest upgrading your power supply to more wattage.

The power supply was one of the first things I thought of but I wasn't sure of that since it worked for nearly a month before it had any problems. I have also uninstalled my card's software but I'll try again, I might have not gotten it all. I'll attach a sample of some of the errors.
