Your not going to get far DIY (recovery wise) with "read errors" the drive can't read the data thus you cant recover the data. Sending to a PRO more than likely will be the only choice. Run the WD diagnostics see if it says on the short test if fail no reason to run the long test.

WD diagnsotics also failed test.

I dont really need the data on the disk, its just movies that i can find again, however I am having trouble trying to reformat the disk. Test disk couldnt do it, and my computer doesnt recognize the drive so i cant do it through there either.

any advice?
