I operate a;

WINDOWS XP
HOME EDITION
VERSION 2002
SERVICE PACK 3

I no longer have CD drivers and unable to listen, copy, and brun CDs. Can you lead me to free driver download for my system

you should be able to go to the computer manufacturers website, search for your specific model in the support/download section and get the drivers you need from there.

Hi Barbara and welcome to TSF:wave:

Did you look in Device Manager for yellow or red marks beside the CD/DVD branch? If so, did you try to reinstall the drivers from there? Often, the drivers are provided by Windows and it is able to find a good copy on your computer.

If you can't find a good copy of the drivers on your computer, sobeit's idea is a good one.

Hi Barbara,

Right click on the My Computer icon, then pick properties. Under the Hardware tab, pick Device Manager. Any problems with drivers will be indicated by a yellow or red exclamation point or question mark at that item (DVD/CD-ROM branch in your case) on the tree structure. If red or yellow at the cdrom branch, expand the branch and right click on the problem item. That will give a drop down menu that will allow you to try to re-install the drivers.
