I'll answer these questions because I'm a noob
1. Budget: 1500 incl. monitor
2. Brands: no specific
3. Multitasking: Yes - i like to do many things at once, download/ stream music, excel, word, matlab, aim, tons of firefox windows open, etc.
4. Gaming: yes - mostly older games maybe some new ones.
5. Calculations: Does solidworks/Autocad count here?
6. Overclocking: Yes - but i'm new to this so i'm going to take it slow and medium to light.
7. Storage: Might be doing a raid 5 2GB (5x500 or 4x 750)
8. Legacy Support: no
9. Operating System:I haven't used linux but probably might try it along with XP
10. Case: I think i'm okay with this
11. Accessories:Got em
12. Recycled Components: no I'm currently on a 5 year old laptop
13. Monitor: Is my selection okay?
14. Stores: Newegg, duh

That brings me to around $1430 after all MIRs + tax ($105) and shipping ($21) if i go with Newegg.
Just wondering what some of you who have done this recently think - I haven't don't my homework so much with the video cards so I'm not sure if it's worth it for the more expensive ones or not. I think the power supply of 700w should be sufficient but I wanted to see what you guys thought.
