I am looking for the AVI to DVD converter that will give me the best quality output. what are your suggestions? ( can be paid or free)
I dont need anything fancy, just can convert with good quality.
most DVD authoring software will only compress as much as is needed to fit the video file to the media size (if you have chosen "fit to media") DVD Flick is a good freeware DVD authoring package - doesn't have a lot of fancy options for menus etc but will do the job well.
Other than that Nero, Cyberlink Power Producer, Adobe Encore are all commercial products that have many more features including compression settings, menu variations etc
In the end you get what you pay for - DVD Flick works well enough though - it is currently what I am using.
