Looking for a new gaming Laptop

Hi everyone

I'm not a huge technical guy so i need some help.

I'm looking to buy a new laptop and i play a lot of games (Tiger Woods 2008 and NHL 2008) are my two big ones.

I don't want to break the bank on a new one but i want one that will play these games. I currently own a two year old Sony Vaio VGNN170G and it won't play either one of these.

I'm looking at HP, Sony and Dell right now and don't want to spend more than $1500.00 Canadian.

Any suggestions will be great

thanks

I got my son one about 2 months ago nice piece his is 2.2g T7300 but fast
only change I would consider is to upgrade the battery to the 9 cell as normal the faster the hardware the more the power draw. His will only run
about 1.5hrs on a charge while gaming and about 2.5hrs normal use.
Its a nice computer for the gaming you want to do. If you want to go overboard like I do and spend the big bucks, Gateway makes a great gaming laptop. Its the Gateway FX which comes for both desktop and a laptop. I have been able to play on it and it seems nice and all. The real turn on for me is the fact that even though its vista (a flaw in my opinion) it is a 64bit system, 4GB of ram, I think about 320GB for a hard drive, and a 8800 graphics card.

HP's are nice laptops too, don't get me wrong. I am working off of an HP right now that is 32bit with 2GB of ram and a 8800M GTO graphics card. The thing about HP laptops is they give you a more relaxed media feel. You get a small remote with it and a sensor so you can watch movies and not be up at the screen. So thats why I like them. That and they are great at making laptops.
