Local Internet Connection Not Working for Pc

I have a local internet connection from Comcast.

Recently, my pc had a virus, but I was able to remove it. Now, however, I am unable to access any webpage. (It always says, "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage) My connection, which used to be called "Local Area Connection" is now called "Local Area Connection 2."

All laptops in my house, which use a wireless connection from my router are able to use the internet, but my pc, which uses a wire coming from the router, cannot.
