My laptop has been networked with my desktop computer and printer. However, it is not now......don't know what happened to disconnect. When I look at the Local Area Connection I get a message "Network cable unplugged". I don't know where to look for find the unplugged cable. Can I get some direction please. Thanks

look for a cable coming off a LAN port in the back of your router if you have two computers connecting to the Internet and they both connect with cables and not wireless then you should have a total of three cables in the back of your router one connected to the WAN port and two cable connected probably to LAN ports 1&2.

You might also have a modem with 4 LAN ports in the back thus eliminating the need of a router and in this case you should have two cables in the back of your modem total.

Now follow those cables and make sure they are connected to your computers!

Hope this helps you.
