I am having trouble in reloading Quickbooks Pro after failing to load the latest upgrade and as a result removing the software from my computer and then trying to reload and failing. Quickbooks support were unable to help and referred me to Microsoft and Dell?

I have a Dell computer with MS XP.

During loading an error message appears.

"UNKNOWN/.des/desfile/Shellnew"

Can anyone help me in resolving this problem.

The Quickbooks disc is fine as I have reloaded subsequently onto my lap top
