I know of no "fix" for such a problem with your DVD drive / generally speaking once you can get them powered up and they can read cd's the rest depends on the internal functionality of the drive. For what it's worth the liteon drives seem to be rather flaky. I suggest you contact their tech support and review the problem / you may have to RMA (return merchandise authorization) the drive back to them.
