I'm having a strange issue with my three wireless devices and my dad's N600 router. For some reason, after working for several days, the router will just drop my Internet connection for no apparent reason, and about half an hour later, kick me right off the network and prevent me from reconnecting at all. I find it strange, though, because it's only my two wireless, Windows 8 computers and my Android tablet that gets booted, never his wireless laptop or his two hard-lined computers or VOIP phone...Is there a known issue with this router?
Also, when looking for resolutions, can we please find something that doesn't require my dad to rebuild his network? He's got a rather delicate set-up that he needs to keep as long as possible since he works from home. Every time he has to reset or change out the router, he has to reset his phone and computers, which he's made apparent to be a pain in the butt. Is this just a firmware issue, or something else?
If the issue arises again, then I'll upload a screenshot, but for now, the router seems to be working okay. Either way, the only other way I can get access to the internet is to simply connect to another WiFi access point, namely my college's...
Okay, so the issue returned again. Unfortunately, I forgot to get the ipconfig and the pic, so I don't have proof, but I did at least try testing the connection. During the test, though, the router came back with a DNS error of some sort, but it didn't explain why it boots me off the router after a short time...
