Hey,

Ive got a few machines, some on XP, some on Vista.
This is a rough guide of the layout.

printer with machine running vista (192.168.1.16) static
xp machine (192.168.1.12) static
vista machine (192.168.1.19) static

in basic terms XP can talk to printer, install it, use it, restart and it still works.

Vista machine connects, test pages, prints..until either machine restarts (sharing machine or client)

Very confused and its becoming a pain to keep fixing it, the only way to fix is delete printer, add printer, network printer, on IT-2 *insert user+password*, wait...works!

any help would be fantastic!!

ok..i neglect to mention..
i am decent with PCs..
of course ive done that, i literally said that.. "delete printer, add printer, network printer, on IT-2 *insert user+password*, wait...works!"

im just confused as to why when the vista machines get restarted, they have to re-add printers, but XP do not?!

EDIT: sorry if that comment made me sound angry/hostile, im just tired and cant think of another way to word it
