:sayno: My Lexmark X5150 all in one has suddenly decided to pull the paper on one side & never actually pull the paper down into the printer to be written on. I tried to take it apart so I could see if perhaps something had fallen down into it or was something I could fix, but after removing the only screws which were visible I still can't get the thing to come apart. HELP!! Printer is badly needed for home based business and I can't afford a new one. Thank you. B

Thanks Terrister

I tried that first and I felt like something may have fallen down in there, but if it has, it is below what is visible from the outside which is why I wanted someone to let me know the trick to opening up my lexmark all in one. I removed the screws (6) and I still can't open it up. I don't want to force it without some guidance on how to do it. Any help? Thanks again for your response.........B

Most printers are a pain to take apart. I don't know enough about this one to help you any further. Maybe someone else here as disassembled one of these.
Terrister possibly is right, as I was facing the exact same issue with my X5150 printer; it was pulling paper from one side (Right hand side). In-fact the printer paper pulling system at the first stage in the paper feeder is at right hand side only.

For any reason if the path is blocked then it becomes visible. It is difficult to open and see the reason of blockage. I found the blockage by trying to follow the paper path from both in and out as much as I can with flash light. I finally found a pencil (most likely some one some how dropped it though the paper inlet tray and it eventually drawn inside as paper pushed it. I used wire and pushed it from where papers suppose to come out. I could see the pencil partially, with wire push it went back into the paper inlet path and I could tilt the printer so that it can easily roll out of the printer.
