Hi and welcome to TSF there are further troubleshooting steps here http://www.techsupportforum.com/f108/black-screen-issues-and-troubleshooting-498132.html if you have a usb caddy you could hook up the hdd to another computer and try getting any data that way,the other would involve using a linux distro in live cd mode to try to save your data
Lenovo died
I have a Lenovo N200 laptop which suddenly failed to boot. Turn on, fan turns on & shuts down immediately, no screen at all. Old post from 9/09 talked about taking out battery, hard reset with removing CMOS battery, etc. did all that, no change. Just remembered a USB port got jammed a few weeks ago and got a little power surge then. Any ideas? Help - my time sheet is on here.
