i read other posts and there were nothing that had pertained to this. but if there was and i missed them please link or merge posts or tell me where to merge.

but any way, i am giving new life to a computer i have had sitting around. and i have noticed that my LED on the CD-ROM is constantly on. i pulled out the power cords, and the IDE cord, blew out dust, everything seems to be fine, all cords and wires are set in snugly, connected to PSU and the MoBo so i know it is getting power, but the light is always on.

and i can't enter BIOS either there is a password protect on it. and i don't have the pass. i posted in the MoBo and BIOS forum about that issue. so if you could help me there too that would be great. i fixed my LED light issue with my Floppy drive but the issue still remains with the CD-ROM.

thanks in advance.
