Laptops blue screening after updating to IE7

We have a couple laptop carts that get used by the students here at work and everytime one updates to IE7 through windows automatic updates, it gets a BSOD upon rebooting. The laptop models are Dell Latitude D520.

Has anybody else experienced this problem?

I'm currently running chkdsk /r to see if it will fix the problem and allow the system to boot. Tomorrow after it completes, I will post the result if it fixes the problem or not.

Usually I just reimage the computer after this happens, but we wan't to get IE7 on all systems eventually so we need to find a solution instead of just prolonging the inevitable. :upset:

Well, the repair fixed the blue screen issue. The only problem is it wasn't due to IE7. Anyways, I still have had the blue screen problem on other model laptops. The ones that I am thinking of are Acer brands, but not sure exactly which model of laptop it is. They are about a year and a half old I would guess.
