I have recently bought a
Belkin ADSL2+ Modem with 125MBPS Wireless G-Router, and a
Belkin High-Speed Mode Wireless G Desktop PCI Network Card for my desktop to wire up my home network. I set it all up no problem by using an ethernet cable to connect the Router/Modem to my laptop to configure it, I managed to set it up all fine and when my laptop is connected to the Router/Modem with the ethernet cable I can access the internet no problem. Also I can connect to the internet using the Wireless Network from the desktop, however, my laptop is a
Amilo Pro V2010 A Pro with a built in Ralink RT25000 24Mbps 802.11g 2.4GHz Wirless LAN Card.
I cannot seem to get the Wireless Card in my Laptop connect to the Network. It won't automatically pick up the network, so i've tried to manually put in the SSID and it won't work. I've turned off security (WEP) and the firewall on both my laptop and the Router/Modem but it still won't work. So i installed Odyssey Wireless client to try and help set it up, and it still won't work. All my drivers are up to date as well.
Could it be a compatability issue between Ralink and Belkin? Or is there a chance my Ralink Wireless LAN Card is faulty?
Any help on this would be great.
Thanks.
Daniel.
